About the event
Why Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)? MHFA teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, MHFA helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis, and also skills around supporting someone who's developing a mental health challenge. Build an understanding of the signs and symptoms of mental illness, the risk factors and protective factors involved. Also, what type of professionals can help, treatments available, and how to encourage someone to seek help. Learn more here
